A very good reed
I have played on a number of reeds over the ears, and I have come to like the Mitchell Lurie premium line. It is consistently good and helps me to produce a nice, warm tone. One of the best features is that it does not have so significant a variation in quality and strength from reed to reed n the s...

Nice!! At first...
When I first put one of these reeds on my clarinet, it was so easy to play and produced an amazing tone! It was a great feeling, and I was pretty much on a high for about 3 days. But then my clarinet started squeaking. My clarinet doesn't normally squeak. Especially more than once in a day. I was so...

My favorite reeds and they don't disappointed! Size 4 Reed
Reeds for clarinet that are immediately playable.
Michelle Lurie reeds play well right out of the box but I do caution that if you are using Vandoren Traditional or anything of similar strength, go 1/2 step higher. I was told that by several people that play ML reeds prior to ordering them.
great product, fast service
Always fast in shipping. Order these reeds for my daughter all the time.
Would definitely buy again from this great company
Quality product.
I have bought this reed brand since my college days.
A great reed for both classical and jazz playing on my clarinet.
Mitchell Lurie Premium Reeds
Play from the box, articulate well, but do not last very long. I use mostly as a practice reed.
Introduced to the Reed
I like this reed; the cut and quality uniformly much better than what I was using to transition to a 3 before and appreciate that I didn't have to buy 10 of them to test the difference.
Michael Lurie worth splurging on Premium
It is worth splurging for the premium reeds. The standard reeds lack the consistent tone quality in quieter volumes. So, if you want a reliable reed that provides great range and performance in all volumes, premium is the way to go.
Excellent
I've used Mitchell Lurie premium reeds for years because almost all of them play well right out of the box.
Great "Out of the Box" Playing Reed, Not Long Lasting
These are what I keep around if I have to play a new reed immediately out of the box. They sound amazing right off the bat, but won't last more than a couple weeks if playing constantly. They work fine for me to use for doubling because I'm not playing constantly on them so they last a bit longer. If I was doing orchestral clarinet playing, these would not be my choice. I'd use the regular ones and break them in properly and slowly so they'll last well.
