The NUX B-8S guitar wireless system pairs a compact beltpack transmitter with a multifunction pedal receiver for electric guitar, bass, electro-acoustic instruments and other pickup-equipped instruments with 1/4" outputs. Its third-generation 2.4GHz wireless platform combines intelligent frequency hopping, 1MHz narrowband transmission, true-diversity dual antennas and Audio Zip/Unzip technology to deliver 24-bit/48kHz audio with latency as low as 2.5 ms. Six selectable stability levels let players balance response and transmission reliability for different wireless environments, while operating range reaches up to 165' outdoors line-of-sight. With up to 6.5 hours of transmitter battery life and support for as many as 10 B-8S systems simultaneously, the system is built for rehearsals, recording sessions and stages where multiple wireless devices may be competing for spectrum.
Intelligent Frequency Hopping Helps Maintain a Stable Connection
The B-8S continuously scans the 2.4GHz band and can move to a cleaner channel when interference is detected, helping maintain reliable transmission around Wi-Fi and other wireless equipment. Its 1MHz narrowband design provides access to as many as 79 channels, giving the frequency-hopping system more options for avoiding congested portions of the spectrum. Six stability settings range from 2.5 ms in Best Performance mode to 8.7 ms in Safety mode, with higher settings increasing the number of signal transmissions for greater reliability in challenging wireless environments. Audio Zip/Unzip technology works alongside this wireless architecture to preserve clear 24-bit/48kHz audio with a 20Hz–20kHz frequency response.
Pedal Receiver Combines Tuner Boost DI and Routing
The receiver consolidates several stage essentials into one pedal-format unit, including a tuner, 0–12dB clean boost, buffer, Send/Return loop, guitar input and balanced XLR DI output. Its onboard tuner provides Chromatic, Guitar Standard, Guitar Compensated and Bass modes, with adjustable A4 reference from 430–450Hz, while the 2.4" color display shows battery status, input volume and settings in either horizontal or vertical orientation. The balanced DI output can feed a mixer directly, while the Send/Return loop and buffer provide additional options for integrating the system into a pedalboard. A magnetic charging port lets the transmitter recharge simply by placing it on the receiver between sets or sessions.
Compact Beltpack Supports Guitars Basses and Active Performances
The transmitter clips onto a strap or pocket and uses a jack design intended to resist rotation and loosening during movement, while switchable Cable Tone simulation provides a warmer response for players who prefer the character associated with a traditional instrument cable. The transmitter measures approximately 2.85" x 1.94" x 0.91" and weighs 2.2 oz., while the pedal receiver measures approximately 4.8" x 3.7" x 2.4" and weighs 1.1 lb.
