Daily Prayer is the first of Five Easy Hymn Anthems on Original Texts and Tunes, a collection created as a somewhat delayed reaction to 9/11. For SATB Choir and keyboard (preferably organ), it is composed in the style of traditional Protestant hymn tunes. The text is a prayer for protection and strength in times of adversity. Congregational participation is optional.
