B. Wayne Bisbee sparks new life into an old favorite with his setting of Deck the Hall. Instead of the traditional 4/4 chorale melody, Bisbee has written a lilting jig in 6/8 and sometimes 7/8 with optional soloist or small group on the middle stanza. The melody is cheerful and festive, with a wonderful echo effect on the final fa la la's. This festive dance-like version of Deck the Hall would make a great concert or festival opener for the holiday season.
