For decades, the TAMA Superstar name has represented innovative drum design, dependable craftsmanship and stage-ready performance. The Superstar Classic 5-piece shell pack continues that tradition with a versatile configuration featuring a 22x18" bass drum, 10x8" and 12x9" rack toms, a 16x14" floor tom and a matching 14x6.5" snare. Built with thin 100% maple shells, premium hardware and vintage-inspired styling rooted in the original Superstar kits of the 1970s, this shell pack also features the Star-Mount System, low-mass single lugs, triple-flanged hoops and an included MTH600 double tom holder for balanced tone, clear projection and dependable performance in rehearsal rooms, recording studios and on stage.

Thin Maple Shells Deliver Balanced Tone and Projection

Superstar Classic shells pair thin 100% maple construction with decorative Bintangor outer plies to produce a warm, resonant voice with impressive versatility. The 5 mm, 6-ply tom shells capture the punch and musical character associated with classic maple drums, delivering a balanced blend of full low end, articulate mids and clear highs across a wide range of playing styles. A matching snare drum provides crisp attack that cuts through the mix while maintaining tonal consistency with the rest of the kit. The 22" bass drum features a 7 mm, 8-ply shell for a full-bodied, authoritative backbeat that anchors the kit with punch and projection.

Classic TAMA Styling Meets Modern Performance

Inspired by the iconic Superstar drums of the 1970s, Superstar Classic combines vintage-inspired appointments with modern engineering. The classic TAMA T badge, streamlined low-mass single lugs and triple-flanged hoops contribute to the kit's timeless appearance while allowing the shells to resonate more naturally. TAMA's Star-Mount System further enhances shell resonance by providing stable tom mounting with minimal shell contact, and factory-installed Power Craft II drum heads get the kit ready for setup.
