The picture shows a complete set. You do not get a complete set. As purchased it is unplayable. What you get: the 5 drums, the posts that connect the 2 tom drums to the bass drum the legs for the floor tom drum and the screw/hooks that attach the drum surfaces to the drum. That is it. What you still need to buy to be able to play: the snare drum stand the bass drum petal and a seat (that was obvious, but I include it) IF you want a complete set: (with cymbals) 2 hi-hat cymbals as a set AND the hi-hat stand WITH pedal 1 crash cymbal AND a stand 1 ride cymbal AND a stand So what looks like a good deal, is not actually. The quality of what we purchased seems good. But the financial outlay is considerably more that what appears. And the verbiage is not that clear about what hardware is included/not included for those who don't really know how the set comes together.
This product is perfect and great for the price!
I bought this when I started drum lessons and it is a life saver I love it!
Awesome quality for the price...
Bought this to make a hybrid set. Good quality and finish. Cant believe the price..
The Rydeen far far better than "Entry Level"
My original intent for this kit was to use it for practice As fate goes, I sold my performance kit and used this one as a fill in (That turned into a several mo venture) I was far more than mildly surprised when I outfitted these drums to play live with my band... They sounded excellent and no one could believe they were an entry level kit. The hardware is real Yamaha hardware ... more than I expected I'm not a fan of 6 lug floor toms but this one seems to hold it tune very well and resonate even in the lower registers... The plastic wrap is a plus, because it protects the shells if one was to gig around town with this kit and not have cases... Plus its single contact point wrap is very easy to change if one has the urge (I almost did) I changed the Tom batter heads, I played them with two types of heads. Coated Diplomats and Clear Pinstripes, both gave me the sound I was seeking ... Not over choked, full tom sound. These drums have a great tuning range and don't ring off flat or sharp with the heads changed as most entry level drums do... Each drum has its own distinct sound and the toms don't get muddy.... The snare drum was the true surprise... With an ambassador batter head, it tuned up and provided an excellent snare drum sound, The snare drum is always the weakest bit of of the kit, but not true with the Rydeen it has an excellent snare drum I Replaced the bass drum hoops with wooden hoops (heaver) I replaced the bass drum batter head with a head with less dampening. initially the bass is setup for recording, Changing the batter head sets it up for live play.... Those few changes and this kit was sounding as good as any kit I can remember playing. For drummers looking for that around town gigging kit or just an excellent kit ... this Rydeen is the right choice. I have played all types of drums in my carrier but never an entry kit that had this sound and capability. (Jazz, Rock, Funk, Fusion, Country)
