Creamy, in-the-alley overdrive.

The BD-2 Blues Driver from BOSS is a legendary overdrive pedal which provides instant access to the warm, creamy distortion tones of vintage tube amps that defined the Chicago blues sound. With just a stomp of your foot, you can add subtle grit and dimension to clean tones or push your amp into thick, sustaining overdrive. The BD-2's simplified control set makes dialing in your perfect bluesy overdrive straightforward and intuitive.

Drive Control Provides a Range of Overdrive Sounds
The BD-2's Drive knob allows you to set the pedal for anything from a hint of grit to amp-like saturation. Roll the Drive back for a touch of natural tube-amp breakup that enhances your guitar's natural tone. Increase the Drive for a boosted midrange and harmonically rich overdrive that sustains for days. The BD-2 responds dynamically to your guitar's volume knob, cleaning up nicely when you roll back for rhythm parts.

Tone Knob Tailors the Overdrive Voice
The BD-2's Tone control shapes the overdrive color and focuses the midrange. Turn the Tone knob clockwise to boost midrange for a warmer, fuller tone. Roll the Tone knob counterclockwise to scoop the mids and produce a brighter, more cutting overdriven tone. Subtle Tone knob adjustments provide a wide range of useful overdrive voices to complement any guitar and amp combination.

Level Sets the Overdrive Output
The BD-2's Level knob controls the output volume of the overdriven signal. Increase the Level to boost your overall signal for solos or to push your amp further into distortion. Decrease the Level when using higher Drive settings to compensate for the increase in volume.

Road-Ready and Stage-Tested
Like all BOSS pedals, the BD-2 Blues Driver is built to withstand the rigors of the road. Its rugged metal chassis and footswitches provide years of reliable performance. Powered by either a 9V battery or PSA-series AC adapter, the BD-2 is ready to enhance your tone whether performing on stage or practicing at home.
