Great dark sound, powerful

I got a relatively cheap bass for my 2nd Jazz Band and it was fine for Funk styles, but WAY to edgy for most Jazz, especially swing. Put these D'Addario Flatwound strings on and it sounds golden now. HUGE difference in sound. Nice round, dark sound and it seems like it's got a little more punch than before.
