D’Addario XS Nickel Bass strings are built for players who need consistent tone and durability on extended-scale instruments. This Regular Light set pairs nickel-plated steel wrap wire with D’Addario’s ultra-thin XS coating, protecting each string from corrosion while maintaining a natural feel and clear response. Designed specifically for 5-string basses with super long scale lengths, the Regular Light 45–130 gauge provides a balanced tension profile that supports solid low-end definition without sacrificing flexibility on the higher strings. Whether used for modern extended-range basses or demanding live and studio applications, XS Nickel bass strings deliver reliable performance and long-lasting tone you can trust.
