Rico tenor sax reeds are batting 50% or better per box.

No reed is going to be perfect. If you buy a 5 count box of XYZ brand or a 10 count box of ABC brand you are going to find some duds and some good reeds. The trick is how many reeds are good out of that box. What is the percentage of good reeds compared to bad reeds? I find Rico reeds to be batting ...

useless

I bought a box of these, using the same strength as my usual reeds. I took one out and broke it in with the same procedure I use on all my reeds. The next day I went to continue to break it in, and it was completely warped. Not only was the tip wavier than the ocean, but the entire base of the reed ...

Plays nice, seems like a middle of the road kind of reed. I like them better than my usual Rico orange and Royal. Strength wise seems pretty close to the Ricos. Although I have mainly been playing Legere Signature.

I've played more reed brands that I care to think about and Hemke's are my go to because they're one of the best sounding and they're relatively inexpensive. Super consistent from reed to reed, too.

Don't want to stop playing

These are new for me, and wish I had found them years ago. They are easy to play, consistent, and have a warm, open sound and feel. With a Soloist D, the 3 is just right, some need a little adjustment. But the slightly stiffer ones work nice on closer, baffled Morgan or Berg jazz pieces. They feel like less work to play, and work well with bright jazz as well as classical mouthpieces.

Really digging these reeds. I play a '46 Buescher Aristocrat tenor and a 2.5 Hemke on my 7* GS Reso sounds and feels just about perfect I'd say ;)

I was looking for a warmer reed, this fits the bill. I play a Tenor saxophone, but I also use the Soprano reeds for my jSax. One of the reeds is a bit warped but I do not know if that was because of me.

Been using Hemke reeds for a long time. Now playing a (2) on a 10 star metal Otto Link piece. With such a wide facing a new (2) is very stiff....gotta play it for about a month to break it in after which it responds much better and I enjoy the warmth and general consistency of the Hemke.
