Prim strings feature a flat steel winding for outstanding durability, while materials between the steel core and winding help with protection against corrosion, making these strings a favorite of players. Many players use Prim A and D strings combined with a synthetic G and C for instruments with a loud lower spectrum, but slightly weaker in the higher registers.
