The Shure SLXD2+/K8B wireless handheld transmitter is a rugged, handheld wireless microphone transmitter designed for use within the SLX-D+ digital wireless system, combining integrated microphone and transmitter electronics into a single, stage-ready form factor. Operating with 24-bit/48kHz digital audio conversion and delivering a 118dB dynamic range, the SLXD2+ provides transparent audio quality and dependable RF performance across its 138MHz wide tuning range (G57: 470–608MHz), supporting reliable multi-system operation in professional environments. This variant is fitted with the KSM8 Dualdyne dynamic cardioid microphone capsule, which is engineered for natural vocal reproduction with exceptional consistency across the pickup pattern, reduced proximity effect and controlled plosives—making it well suited for lead vocals, spoken word, houses of worship, corporate presentations and broadcast applications where tonal accuracy and stability are required. Integrated ShowLink Ease maintains continuous coordination between SLX-D+ transmitters and receivers, enabling automatic frequency updates, remote gain adjustment, transmitter locking and firmware updates without interrupting operation, while Bluetooth connectivity allows monitoring and configuration via Wireless Workbench desktop software or the WWB Mobile app. Powered by either two AA batteries or the optional SB903 rechargeable Li-ion battery, and featuring external charging contacts, onboard high-pass filtering, AES-256 encryption and a durable aluminum housing, the SLXD2+/K8B functions as a flexible, performance-ready handheld option that integrates seamlessly into any SLX-D+ wireless system configuration.
