Well when I sit my oboe on the stand, it sticks to the oboe and I have to pull it off. It would be good as a decoration stand to just place an oboe in your house, work area etc. Just not to have at a concert and then grab your oboe to play and you pull the stand with it.

Handy, useful, but soon broken.

As flimsy as it may look, this stand is well worth more its price. It folds nicely in the case due to its "compactness", and safely holds the instrument well in place when not in use. On the first few days it may get slightly stuck on the bell, but it's nothing to worry about as it easily comes out. This 2-piece stand needs to assembled all the way in; if not it will tip over. Overall, this stand will not disappoint you.

This oboe stand is great for moving and using. It's lightweight and won't tip over. I think it's a good choice if comparing stands. I give it all 5 stars!
